Title

The North Carolina Heritage Room (2nd floor), houses a diverse collection of over 2,900 items that document the history of Pasquotank and Camden counties and surrounding areas.  It has some family histories (books donated to our library), census information, various documents, and other historical information about the Albemarle Region.

We also have a microfilm reader and microfilm with quite a collection of information from Pasquotank and surrounding counties.

The link to the catalog is at the bottom of the page  (NOTE: This is a work in progress. More microfilms will be added soon)

The Albemarle area has some publications on the www.digitalnc.org website. There are about 20 newspapers, several yearbooks, and Elizabeth City Directories going back to 1912. The newspapers date back to the 1850s. A link to the information available on the Digital NC site is at the bottom of the page.

The Pasquotank County Library has a DVD available for checkout with the Elizabeth City High School Band and the Northeastern High School Band. The contents are in the above graphic. Click here for a catalog link.
