Just the FAQs

Who can attend these programs?

Any Dare County resident/property owner or East Albemarle Regional Library cardholder, 18 or older, may attend a program.

Are they in-person or virtual?

We offer a hybrid format - in-person and virtual via Zoom -  for most programs. The majority of programs, unless otherwise noted, will be held in-person in the Kill Devil Hills Library Meeting Room as well as virtually via Zoom. Attendees may choose the option most convenient to them.

Do I need to register to attend?

Yes - for both in-person and virtual attendance. Meeting room space is limited; if in-person registration capacity is reached, we will start a waitlist and ask anyone who knows they cannot attend to please let us know so that we may allow in others who can.

Virtual registration is required to receive a link to the event. Within 24 hours of the event, look for an email from updates@info.darecountync.gov.

Do they cost money?

All programs are free!

Do I have to pay for handouts from the presenters?

If presenters accompany their presentation with a handout, they can be printed at the library at no cost to attendees. Virtual attendees may have handouts printed and available for pick-up.

Will programs be recorded?

No, at this time we neither have the technology, funding, nor people-power to record, edit, post, or maintain a digital library of our programs.
