TIP:
Click the  PUSHPIN (not the white box) next to the item you want to request, or, at the detailed screen for that title, click on Hold Request on the top menu bar.  Then enter your Library Card Number, then PIN, then click Submit Request

Put a Hold Request on an item that shows Available at your “home" library

It is on the library shelf, ready to be checked out; no waiting for delivery from another library. As soon as library staff selects the book, you will be notified via email or phone call.

Place a Hold Request on the title you'd like to get the Next Spot in the Holds Queue

Items that show "Available", but at a different library than your "home" library, will take longer because they have to be delivered.

"On Order" means the book has not yet arrived from our vendor. Place a Hold Request to reserve your spot in the Holds Request queue so that when a copy becomes available to you, we will contact you to schedule a curbside pickup.

"Checked Out" or "Hold Shelf" mean another customer has it, but you can still place a Hold Request.
