Yes! Library cards issued at any of the eight (8) libraries in the East Albemarle Regional Library System may be used at any library in the system. These include the Pasquotank Library, the Camden Library, all three Currituck County libraries (Barco, Corolla, and Moyock), and all three Dare County libraries (Kill Devil Hills, Manteo, and Hatteras). You may also return items owned by any library to any library within the EARL system as well.
You are legally responsible for anything checked out on your library card, so by default, we limit library card use to the person to whom the card was issued. However, if you are an adult patron and you wish to authorize another person to use your card, you may do so by:

I lost my library card, what should I do?
If you lose your library card, call the library as soon as possible and inform the staff of the loss. You are legally responsible for any items borrowed on your card until you have notified the library that your card has been lost. Replacement cards can be purchased for $1.00.
Accounts become blocked when:
When a card is blocked, nothing can be borrowed on the card. To reinstate your card:
NOTE: Currituck County Libraries can only accept cash or checks for payment of fines and fees. Sorry, we do not accept credit or debit cards.
To check out materials, you will have to provide either your library card or your photo ID. Because you are legally responsible for everything borrowed on your library card, we require you to show your card or ID to protect you from someone falsely giving your name, or the staff accidentally charging your account with someone else's materials.
Newly-issued library cards are valid for one (1) year. In order to renew an expired card, we will re-verify your current address, phone number, and e-mail address. Renewed cards will be good for another (2) years.
However, if you have moved to a residence outside of the EARL service area, you will not be able to renew your card.
You can use your library card to:
In some instances, you will need a PIN to access online features. You may request a PIN (or change your PIN) at anytime by calling your local branch.
